Volleyball Selected Fourth in SLIAC Preseason Coaches Poll
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Fontbonne University volleyball team has been selected to finish fourth in the 2024 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Coaches Preseason Poll.
"We're looking forward to the upcoming season here at Fontbonne," shared Head Coach Jimmy Stika. "We've brought back an experienced group of players who have an unquestioned love for our program, school, and community, and are determined to surprise some people this year."
The Griffins concluded the 2023 season with a 23-10 overall record and 16-3 in conference play. Their season came to a close in the finals of the SLIAC tournament, as runner-up.
"I couldn't be happier to be coaching such a great group of young women to share our program's final season with," he concluded.
Fontbonne opens their season on Friday, Aug. 30 at Grinnell. First-serve is set for 6 p.m. Their home-opener will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 11 as they host WashU at 7 p.m. Their schedule features 26 games with 10 at home.
