Cross Country Competes At The WIU Early Bird
MACOMB, Ill.—The Fontbonne University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed today at the Western Illinois University Early Bird.

On the women's side, Abigail Richter (Western Illinois), took home the win as she finished with a time of 14:50.1. Katie Gosser (19:27.8) and Sarah Rhoades (19:43.7) finished back-to-back with Gosser just edging her teammate by 16.0 seconds. Both are new PR times with Gosser improving her time by 1:24 and Rhoades chopping 1:07 off her previous best.
Julianne Cadieux was the next runner to cross the line at 20:12.2, while Jennie Stare ended up right behind her at 20:31.0. Rounding out the field for the Griffins was the duo of Emily Bay (20:44.0) and Colleen Gosser (21:27.5).
On the men's side, Jacob Dixon was the lone representative of Fontbonne and he finished in 51st with a time of 23:11.5.
The team returns to action on September 15th when they'll compete at the National Catholic Invitational in South Bend, Indiana.
