Cross Country Takes Part In The Bradley Pink Classic
PEORIA, Ill.—It was another successful day on the course for the Fontbonne University men’s and women’s cross country teams at the Bradley Pink Classic.
PEORIA, Ill.—It was another successful day on the course for the Fontbonne University men's and women's cross country teams at the Bradley Pink Classic.
On the women's side, the overall winning team went to Missouri S&T with a team score of 36. Nebraska-Omaha ended up in second place, while Monmouth closed out in third.
Individually, Emily Johnson (Nebraska-Omaha) won with an overall time of 22:00 in the 6K race. Desiree Brooks, meanwhile, led the Griffins with a 54th place finish and a new personal-record time of 27:27.
Colleen Gosser was the next Griffin to cross the line with a new PR time by 22.0 seconds at 29:22.3 for 61st place. Katie Gosser rounded out in 63rd at 29:25.6, while Sarah Roades ran her way to a time of 29:26.8 for 64th.
Emily Bay timed out at 30:08.3 for 68th, while Tara Weiskopf-Kuehn ended the day with a time of 38:32.8 which is a new personal-record time.
On the men's side, Purdue Fort Wayne won overall with a team score of 30. Missouri S&T ended up in second place at 42 points and Millikin came in third.
Individually, Duncan Clark (Missouri S&T) clocked out with a time of 25:35.6. Jacob Dixon paced the Griffins with a time of 29:47.5. Austin Joyce crossed the line at 31:01.4, while Juwan Lee finished at 35:08.9.

The Griffins have next weekend off and will return to action on October 27th at the SLIAC Championships held in Litchfield, Ill.
