Griffins compete at the St. Louis Fall Cross Country Classic
Fontbonne Men's and Women's Cross Country team competed at the St. Louis Fall Cross Country Classic.

Meet: St. Louis Fall Cross Country Classic

Fontbonne Men's and Women's Cross Country team both placed eighth as a team while competing at the St. Louis Fall Cross Country Classic this Saturday. Men running a 8k and women running a 5k.
William Carey Men's and Women's Cross Country both earned first place as a team, the men received 36 points while the women had 38 points. Lindsey Wilson Men's and Women's Cross Country team finished right behind them both placing second as a team with 45 and 62 points.
On the men's side
- Finishing first over-all was Senior Tyler Alverson with an average time of 5:11 and finishing with a time of 25:50
- Fontbonne Men's team had an average time of 24:06
- Fontbonne's Freshman Domenick Blanchette was the first to cross the line for the team placing 36th with a personal-record time of 29:54 compared to his last weeks time of 30:02
- Next to finish for the team was Sophomore Austin Joyce with a time of 32:30 finishing in the top 50.
- Next was freshman Keyonn Hall-Baker with 35:20, finishing fourth for the team was Juwan Lee with 36:19, and finishing up for the team was Anh Nguyen.
On the women's side
- Finishing first over-all was Senior Jaden Russell from William Carey with an average time of 6:11 and finishing up with a time of 19:14
- Fontbonne Women's team had an average time of 36:06
- Freshman Patience Vandermierden finished first for the team in 29th place with a time of 22:28 making that her new personal best, this was just shy of a minute faster then her last time of 23:26 at the Fast Cats Classic.
- Finishing not too far behind was sophomore Desiree Brooks in 33rd place with a time of 22:43
- Graduate Taylor Aurand finished third for the team in 37th place with a time of 23:15
- Emily Bay was the fourth to finish for the team in 46th place with a time of 24:30 wrapping up the top 50.
The squad will be back in action Saturday November 2nd at the SLIAC Championship in Louisville. KY
