Multiple Griffins Set Personal-Records At The Billiken Invite

ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Fontbonne University track and field team today battled through high winds and cold temperatures today at the Billiken Invite.
On the women's side, the first event was the hammer throw and Sierra Moore led with a personal-best mark of 31.52 m for 17th place. Mackenze Daniel finished right behind her with a new personal-record of her own at 31.44 m. Emily Bay ended up in 21st at 27.95 m, while Amelia Tregoning ended up in 22nd at 26.27 m.
In the javelin, Tregoning crushed her personal-best with a new toss of 22.17 m for 17th. Colleen Gosser closed out in 20th at 18.68 m. Moore, meanwhile, rounded out at 18.37 m.
On the men's side, Hayden Yates was the lone competitor in the event for the Griffins and concluded in 10th place at 22.68 m. He also took part in the 5K and ran his way to a time of 20:27.95 for 14th place.
In the 10K, Jacob Dixon had a strong run with a time of 40:17.50 and that was good enough for sixth. Juwan Lee joined Dixon in the run and timed out in ninth place (43:26.60)
The Griffins close out the Billiken Invite tomorrow morning. Action begins at 10 a.m.
