Katie Gosser Sets School-Record In The 100-Meter Hurdles At The Gregory Final Qualifier & Multi-Event

NAPERVILLE, Ill.—The Fontbonne University women's track and field team competed at the Gregory Final Qualifier and Multi-Event this afternoon.
In the Heptathlon, the duo of Katie Gosser (1846) and Emily Bay (1553) currently sit in 18th and 19th place.
In the 100-meter hurdles, K. Gosser set a school-record with a time of 19.12, which breaks her previous mark of 19.62 set last season at the NCC Gregory Final Qualifier. Bay also just missed her personal-best but still crossed the line at 20.54.
In the high jump, K. Gosser and Bay both tied at 1.32 m for 16th. The 1.32 m mark is a new personal-best for Bay in her career.
K. Gosser led once more in the shot put with a personal-record 8.79 m. Bay, meanwhile, was right behind her at 8.40 m for 15th. The final event on the afternoon was the 200-meter dash and K. Gosser closed out in 14th with a time of 28.56. Bay went on to finish in 19th.
In the hammer throw, Mackenze Daniel had a strong first toss of 38.00 m for 18th place. Sierra Moore also competed today in the discus and rounded out in ninth place with a mark of 35.04 m on her final attempt.
The Griffins return to action tomorrow to close out the Gregory Final Qualifier and Multi-Event.
