Women's Basketball Keeps On Winning, Extends Streak Out To Five

How It Happened
In the first quarter, after the Highlanders made it a 5-4 contest at 7:28, the Griffins went on a 15-0 run over the next four minutes to take a commanding 20-4 lead on Madison Boaz made jumper. They held that double-digit lead the rest of the way to lead 25-9 at the break.
Fontbonne was rolling the first going 10-of-16 form the field and forced 10 MacMurray turnovers. Kourtney White led the floor with eight points.
In the second quarter, a 3-pointer made from Mallory Proffer had the Griffins well out in front, 35-17, with 5:04 remaining. The team closed out the quarter on a 5-0 run with Riley Guffey's 3-pointer and Jillian Venegas' layup extending the lead out to 42-21 at the break.
In the third, the Griffins opened with a 9-0 run to lead 51-21 after Rylee Stafford's made both free throws with 5:42 remaining. MacMurray closed out the quarter outscoring Fontbonne 15-13 but the Griffins still lead by 31 heading to the fourth.
In the finale, the Highlanders outscored Fontbonne 11-6, however, the Griffins were able to go on for the 23-point win.

- Fontbonne shot 42.1 percent from the floor and went 15-of-18 (83.3 percent) from the field.
- The Griffins outrebounded MacMurray 35-30.
- Defensively, they forced 21 turnovers and turned it into 26 points.
- MacMurray ended with a 29.8 field goal percentage.

- Brookelynn Cardwell led with nine points off the bench.
- Alexis Doyle and Maddie Ashcraft tied with eight points each.
Fontbonne Leaders
- Raven Venegas returned to the lineup to go a perfect 6-of-6 from the field in 11 minutes to end with 12 points.
- Riley Guffey came off the bench to tie Raven Venegas with 12 points.
- Kourtney White was the final player in double-figures with 11.
- Jillivan Venegas filled up her stat line with eight points, eight boards, and dished out a career-high six assists.
- Rylee Stafford added eight points and went 6-of-6 from the line.
